Ronald Anthony Riley, Jr., age 61, received his wings surrounded by nothing but love, New Year’s Day, 2014.

He was born January 29, 1952, the son of Ronald and Mary Ellen (Helbach) Riley. He was raised on a farm and, being a “product of the 60’s” he worked several places before going back to the life he loved, farming; first on his own and then working for Helbach Farms up until he was diagnosed with cancer. Ron loved harness racing. His first horse’s name was Joker and his last horse’s name was Joker. He loved animals of all kinds especially his dog, Sam, who is in heaven with him now!

Ron is survived by his children: Tony (Egle Jusionyte) Riley of Waukesha, Jennifer (Dean) Riley of Amherst, Heather (Jason) Wilson of South Beloit, IL, and Amanda (Paul) Riley-Pittman of Pineville, NC; grandchildren: Devon Cruse, Tarren Cruse, Justin Cruse, Destiney Riley, AJ Cruse, Nathan Wilson, Alexia Pittman, Jacob Wilson, Elly Wilson and Benjamin Wilson; great grandchild, Dahlia Soik; siblings: Peg (Vern) Engle of Stevens Point, Karen (Mike) Bloedorn of Almond, Jane Voelker of Weyauwega and Thomas (Kari) Riley of Amherst. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Mary Ellen, and brothers-in-law, Robert Winters and Wayne Voelker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at St. Maximilian Kolbe – Lanark. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Online condolences available at www.hollyfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be greatly appreciated. “Ron was a very special gentle person gifted with a wonderful sense of humor and was loved by everyone who knew him!” From pain to peace, From home to heaven, God Bless.
