Three Waupaca wrestlers won individual championships Jan. 4 at the Manawa Invitational.
Waupaca finished with 168 points to finish second behind Oconto. Other team scores were Oconto (189), Manawa (149), Winneconne (137.5), Elcho (132), Rosholt (128.5), Antigo (89), Onalaska Luther (89), Manitowoc Lutheran/Roncalli (84), Wabeno/Laona (71), Pittsville (58), Lakeland (50), Almond-Bancroft/Stevens Point Pacelli (49), Plainfield Tri-County (18), Appleton Xavier (14), Montello (0).
Logan Bernhardt, Guy Tessen and Levi Petroske won championships at 113, 126 and 160 pounds, respectively.
The Comets will wrap up their home schedule at 6:30 Thursday, Jan. 9, by hosting an Eastern Valley Conference dual match with Winneconne. Waupaca will also head to New London Saturday, Jan. 11, for the Bulldog Cutler Classic, which gets under way at 9:30 a.m.
