Helen Marie Kottke, age 92, of Manawa, WI passed on to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 4, 2014.
Helen was born on January 18, 1921, the daughter of Earnest and Mildred Fenske and grew up in Symco, WI. Helen married Harold Kottke and lived the rest of her life in Manawa. He preceded her in death. Helen is survived by: her daughter, Sally Jepson (Charles) of Manawa and her 2 sons, Robert (Amber) Kottke of Waupaca and Thomas (Patti) Kottke of Greenville. She also has 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister and one grandson. Helen fought a long and difficult battle with arthritis. She was a talented musician in her early years playing the piano, organ, violin and accordion. She was also very athletic, teaching her 2 sons how to catch a baseball by hitting pop flies in the back yard.
Special thanks to Bev and all the staff at the Manawa Nursing home where Helen resided for the last 3 years. As per Helen’s wishes, no services will be held. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
