Three running for municipal judge

Three candidates have submitted papers to fill the New London Municipal Judge seat that is being vacated by current Judge Dennis Resch. Resch is retiring and filed non-candidacy papers.

The three candidates who filed paperwork to be on the ballot are Bradley Graham, John Lee and Laurie Shaw.

Because there are three candidates vying for the position, a primary will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18 to eliminate one of the candidates. The two candidates with the most votes during the primary will appear on the April 1 ballot.

Other city elections

Mayor Gary Henke will be seeking his fourth term. He is running unopposed.

There are five city council seats up for re-election. All incumbents for those seats are seeking re-election and will appear on the ballot unopposed. They include: John Romberg in District 1, Mary Tate in District 2, Mike Barrington in District 3, Ron Steinhorst in District 4 and Dennis Herter in District 5. Larry Hill did request papers to run in District 5, but did not return them.
