100 wins for Handschke

Brett Handschke reached a milestone on Friday, Jan. 31, earning his 100th career varsity win.

“This was a great milestone for Brett,” said Coach Bryon Prey. “He is a hard working kid and this accomplishment is a result of his time spent not just during the season but in the offseason also. He is a leader in the room and a great role model. He represents the team and the community very well. I couldn’t be more proud of him. He has battled some lingering injuries this year and has been able to overcome them and continue to have success on the mat.”

Handschke, wrestling at 182 pounds, pinned his Marinette opponent in 1:32 for his 99th win. He then beat Oconto Falls’ Mackinley Winkler by a 7-3 decision for his 100th win.
