Steckbauer a good choice for judge

Since Branch II Waupaca County Circuit Court Judge John Hoffman retired, attorney Keith Steckbauer was appointed in his place by Governor Scott Walker on Jan. 14.

He will be the pro-tem Judge until after the election.

There are three other candidates running for this position as well, and the two winners in the non-partisan Feb. 18 primary will run for the position against each other in the April 1 spring election.

Mr. Steckbauer’s qualification are exemplary from his history as a stellar lawyer and citizen over the past 20 years. He served on his bank board of directors, his hospital board, and his church boards of trustees. He was a Boy Scout leader, and attended his church mission trip.

He is the only candidate to hold elective offices, including those of of town chairman and president of his school board. He worked in the Waupaca County courts more than any other candidate during this past year. He is a loving family man.

Pro-tem Judge Keith Steckbauer deserves to win his current position permanently on April 1.
