Kathryn Ann “Mickey” S. Schroeder (nee Sweeney) passed away in her home on February 17th 2014, having spent her final days reminiscing and laughing with her family.

Mickey was born on August 23, 1926 in Chicago. Mickey was the beloved wife of the late George O. Schroeder; dear mother of George M. Schroeder, Marty Schroeder (Kelly Pomerenke), Ellen Schroeder (Torren Pies), and Chuck (Mia) Lucas; loving grandmother of Sara and Shanna Schroeder, Madeline, Olivia, and Dawson Pies, and Kate and Anna Lucas; great-grandmother of Caden Lucas; beloved sister of John J. Sweeney and Fay Cameron; and mother of four furry children Aloysius, Frances, Polly, and Virginia. Mickey loved to crochet and knit. She was witty and had a great sense of humor. She was opinionated and well-loved.

A family service was held. Friends wishing to honor Mickey’s memory are encouraged to make a contribution to their local Humane Society. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
