WMS hosts Candles and Cabaret Night

Candles and Cabaret will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at Waupaca Middle School.

Hosted by the WMS Music Department, the evening will begin with a spaghetti dinner at 5 p.m. in the WMS commons. Students and parents serve the meal while dinner music plays.

This year’s dinner music will include Barb Kirk playing jazz on the piano and performances by various WMS solo and ensemble groups from the Middle School.

After dinner in the auditorium, Waupaca High School Band Director Mark Kryshak and student teachers Mike Pollock and Kelsey Davis. will perform at 6:30 p.m., followed at 7 p.m. by a concert featuring the WMS Jazz Combo, Jazz Band and Brioso Chorale.

Candles and Cabaret raises funds for the Middle School Music Boosters Association. This year, the Music Boosters are partnering with the Faith Ventures Group from Trinity Lutheran Church.

Funds for the Music Boosters are used to help with music camp scholarships, instrument repair and choir expenses. Faith Ventures will use their funds to help with travel expenses for upcoming trips and work camps.

To raise funds for the Music Boosters, a free will be offering will be taken for the evening.
