Ali Johnson named to All Star team

The Truckers had a rough season this year, finishing 2-14 in the Eastern Valley Conference.

Despite many tough games, things are looking up for the program, thanks to the efforts of players like Ali Johnson.

“Ali is one of our best players being in the top part of scoring, rebounding and steals,” said Coach Stephanie Wengelski. “But the best thing about Ali is her dedication to our youth basketball program. She has played a huge role in developing our 3rd-6th grade girls. She sets a great example to them on and off the court. I can’t say enough about the girl.”

Johnson tallied 2.9 rebounds per game for the Truckers this year and was a huge part of the team’s offense. She is also very involved in academics and other athletic programs, serving on Student Council and competing in track and cross country.

Whether on the court or in the classroom, Johnson is working hard for the success of future programs in both athletics and academics.
