Banquet to benefit homeless

Foundations For Living will host a Hope for the Homeless banquet at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at the Best Western Banquet Hall in Waupaca.

The featured speaker will be Thomas Fuchs, former director of L.E. Phillips Libertas Treatment Center in Chippewa Falls, where he worked for seven years.

Fuchs currently owns and operates Halcyon Consulting, where he works with treatment centers and other organizations on issues related to addiction and health care.

He has first-hand experience with homelessness. Fuchs spent four months living in a cardboard box on the streets of Seattle. He has also worked as a volunteer at homeless shelters and soup kitchens.

The cost of a banquet ticket is $8.00 per person plus a pair of socks. Tickets are available online at

Foundatinos For Living is a a non-profit transitional living agency in Waupaca.

All proceeds will go to benefit Foundations For Living’s quest to end homelessness in Waupaca County.
