Attendance doubles at Iola Health Fair

The Iola Lions Club sponsored a health fair April 12, with co-operation of Riverside Medical Center.

This was the second year since reinstating the health fair and attendance was doubled from last year. A total of 69 people attended.

More tests and screenings were available, a community service was rendered, and more displays and information were presented.

Among the tests were lipid panel, triglycerides, blood pressure, PSA, eye screening with the spot vision camera, and balance testing.

Displays included Information on Lions, the Lions Foundation, acupuncture and chiropractic treatment.

The Iola & Rural Fire Department had a display on smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Eye glasses and hearing aids were also collected by the Lions.
