Siem, Dennis James

Dennis James Siem, 46, passed away unexpectedly at his home in the Town of Almond on Saturday, May 24, 2014.

He was born in Stevens Point on September 30, 1967 to Gerald and Doris (Mancl) Siem. On July 7, 2003, he was united in marriage to Jean Evilsizor. He currently worked at Roundy’s warehouse. Dennis enjoyed many activities, especially those focused around family. He set aside time to play with Taren “Duke” every day; together they shared a love for scrapping metal. He spent time fishing and raising chickens with all his children. Along with his dad and sons, he worked with the Tri-County Threshermen’s Association; he did volunteer work through church, enjoyed gardening, baking, and picking asparagus with Jean. Dennis will be sadly missed by his family and everyone who loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Evilsizor-Siem; son, Taren “Duke”; three step-children: Alison, Nathaniel and Taylor Kim; his parents, Gerald and Doris Siem; sisters: DeLorma (Dan) Nowicki, Denice (Jim) Dowling, Diane (Paul) Rucinski, Donna (Rob) Poole and Deb (Wes) Berkholtz; nieces and nephews: Ryan (Bonny) Flowerette, Matt Rucinski, Bryanna Rucinski, Sidney Poole, Ashley Poole, Clayton Berkholtz and Kyle Berkholtz; two great-nieces, McKenzie and Bella Flowerette; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Dennis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Violet Siem and Victor and Frances Mancl.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Faith Community Church, with Pastor Eric Tober officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.
