Rotary seeks sponsors for benefit concert

Waupaca Rotary Club is recruiting sponsors for the 10th annual Waupaca’s Own Summer Benefit Concert to be presented Saturday, July 12, at Waupaca High School.

The lobby doors open at 6 p.m. for a pre-concert performance by the Rotary Troubadours, a six-piece band of Waupaca Rotarians.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. with musical selections ranging from Broadway to pop to opera. Nine talented local vocalists – Lindsay Neuville, Kelly Hackett, Kira Morrisey, Heather Elkenbary, John Hammond, Ken Lauer, Sawyer Olson, Brayden Kendziora and Brian Olsen – will perform, accompanied by pianists Wanda Elkenbary and Joni Radley.

During Intermission, the Waupaca High School champion dance team will provide refreshments.

The concert is a major fundraiser for Waupaca High School’s vocal music department, with $4,000 earmarked for cleaning choir robes and Madrigal costumes. Other proceeds go to Rotary and are used for scholarships, Service Above Self awards, educational grants, and other school programs.

There is no cost to patrons, but they may give a tax-deductible donation at the door. Amounts in excess of $100 will be mailed a receipt. Any checks should be made out to the Waupaca Area Community Foundation (WACF).

Platinum sponsor donations of $1,000 will receive 12 reserved tickets, four concert DVDs, and four tickets to the gala following the concert.
Gold sponsor donations of $500 receive eight reserved seats and two DVDs and two tickets to the gala.
Silver sponsor donations of $250 receive four reserved seats and one DVD. Patron level donations will be noted in the concert program.

For more information, call Tim Neuville at 715-258-2911, or simply mail sponsorships to him at P.O. Box 365, Waupaca, WI 54981. To be listed in the concert program, sponsors should contact Neuville by June 27.
