“One of our biggest nights of the year is Saturday, July 12, when we play against Clintonville for our George Huntley Night,” Clippers coach Jim Thorpe said. “This year’s award recipient is Jim Stern. Jim will receive the award with his wife Rose and many members of the Stern family.”

Stern played for the Clippers and coached the team for more than 20 years. He continues to be involved with the team’s operating fundraising efforts.

The Clippers had a bad stretch last week, losing two games to Shawano by scores of 6-5 and 7-4. The Clippers were rained out against Kaukauna and dropped a 5-0 decision to Menasha.

Meanwhile, the junior varsity team has been rolling right along, improving its record to 7-3 with recent wins.
