Dolphins release Brock Jensen

The Miami Dolphins have released Waupaca High School graduate Brock Jensen, according to a Florida newspaper.

The Palm Beach Post reported that the Dolphins cut Jensen and two other players Monday, July 28.

Miami signed the undrafted rookie quarterback out of North Dakota State earlier this year to compete with Pat Devlin for the Dolphins’ third-string job. The team also released linebacker Derrell Johnson and guard Davonte Wallace.

Miami also signed three players, including former Northern Colorado quarterback Seth Lobato, an undrafted rookie who had signed with the Indianapolis Colts as a free agent, but was released. The Dolphins also signed tight end Brett Brackett and defensive end D’Aundre Reed.

Jensen led North Dakota State to three FCS national championships, but struggled in minicamp and the first few days of training camp, according to the newspaper.
