Peterson, Grace ?Annabelle?

Grace “Annabelle” Peterson, age 86, of Scandinavia, passed away at home, with family at her side on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. 

She was born on December 27, 1927 in Kingsford, Michigan to the late Joseph and Grace (Dumas) LeGault. Following graduation from Kingsford High School in 1945 she worked at Michigan Bell until 1952. She later worked for Tel-Sec in Appleton from 1970-1979. Annabelle was united in marriage to Glen Peterson on September 22, 1950. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Menasha and St. James Parish of Amherst. Annabelle enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, walking, traveling and winters spent in Las Vegas, Nevada and Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. 

She is survived by her husband of nearly 64 years, Glen of Scandinavia; daughters, Kathleen (Douglas) Timmel of Pennsylvania and Patricia (Steven) Mentzel of Menasha; son-in-law, Carl Schwarzbauer of Menasha; grandchildren: Scott (Michelle) Jankowski, Theresa Schwarzbauer, Kerri (Drew) Bodway, Alicia Schwarzbauer and Leah Schwarzbauer, all of Neenah/Menasha; six great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Sundin of Arizona; brother, Gordon LeGault of Texas; other relatives and friends. Her daughter Janice Lynn Schwarzbauer preceded her in death. 

Private family memorial services will be held. Memorial contributions may be directed to Alzheimer’s.org. Maple Crest Funeral Home, Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her private caregiver Margaret. They also wish to thank ThedaCare Hospice, especially Paula, Heidi, Sarah, Barb, Marie, Desiree, Padre Jim and all of the many RN’s and CNA’s who contributed to her care.
