Volunteers with Waupaca Learning Center’s Parent-Teacher Group, with the help of Waupaca High School National Honor Society students, installed a new playground at the elementary school Thursday, Aug. 14.
The group has committed to raising $50,000 over the next five years to pay for the equipment, which includes fitness equipment that may be used as part of the physical education curriculum.
Lee Recreation supplied the playground equipment and supervised the community build. Torborgs Lumber donated concrete and Subway donated lunch for the volunteers.
