Bonikowske, Charles ?Bony?

Charles B. Bonikowske, age 63, Ogdensburg, died on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, in a single vehicle accident due to a blown tire on a motorcycle trailer, east of Keystone, Iowa. 

He was born on September 11, 1950, in Iola, son of Kenneth Sr. and Isabella (Heald) Bonikowske. Chuck owned and operated Bonikowske Salvage yard in Helvetia. He enjoyed flying, motorcycling, and fishing. He liked to build and invent things including motorcycles. 

He is survived by his mother, Isabella; four sons: Bryan, Manawa; Scott, Janesville; Chad, New London and Kris, River Falls; Goddaughter, Angela Bowden, New London; stepson, Tommy, Kansas City; sister, Diane (Mark) Civik, Iola and a brother, David (Marian) Bonikowske, Illinois. He is further survived by seven grandchildren, one grandchild of the heart, one great-grandchild, and also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Sr. and a brother Kenneth Jr. 

Funeral Services for Chuck will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Manawa with Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home, Manawa and also at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Ogdensburg Park Cemetery, Ogdensburg. Bikes are welcome.
