Eileen M. Wehrman, age 84, of Waupaca, WI, passed away on Thursday, September 4th, 2014 at Bethany Home.
She was born in Little Chute, WI, on February 3, 1930, a daughter of the late Hubert and Marie (Verstegen) Williams. Eileen married Eugene P. Wehrman on July 31, 1947 in Appleton, WI. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2013. Eileen worked and managed for the Singer Company in Appleton, Wisconsin for many years. She enjoyed sewing, reading, time on the golf course and a hand or two of Texas Hold ‘em (especially when she was winning). She loved talking about the many good times she spent with her husband Gene, family and friends through parties and summers spent at their lake homes. She and her husband Gene played a huge role in raising two of their grandsons, and she was delighted whenever she had the opportunity to be a part of memories to be made with all of her grand and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: her son, David (Linda) Wehrman, Seattle, WA; grandchildren: Mike (Kristen) Wehrman, Kirkland, WA; Kristin (Brian) Knutson, Sioux Falls, SD; Shannon Wehrman, Seattle, WA; Mark (Heather) Hafferman, Waupaca, WI; Mike (Danielle) Hafferman, Waupaca, WI; great-grandchildren: Kayla, Sarah and Andrew Knutson; Emma and Katie Wehrman; Gavin and Taylor Hafferman. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Gregory Hafferman and a sister, Ellie Schmitz.
A memorial visitation and celebration of Eileen’s Life will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca from noon until 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 13th. Reverend John Schmidt will officiate a small prayer service between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Little Chute, WI on Monday, September 15th at 10 a.m.
