Huebner, Blanche L.

Blanche L. Huebner, age 93, New London, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, surrounded by her loving family in the farm house she lived in for 64 years. 

She was born on August 2, 1921, in the Town of Bear Creek on the family farm, daughter of the late Harry and Irma (Buelow) Plumb. On November 24, 1940, she was united in marriage to Earl Huebner, in Sugar Bush. Blanche was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Sugar Bush. She worked at the Hortonville Toy Factory for 17 years. 

She is survived by sons: Leland (Sandra); William (Sharon); Thomas (Nancy); James (Mary); daughters, Karen (John) Euhardy and Barbara Drum, all of New London; brother Lyle “Tom” Plumb, Clintonville; 2 sisters-in-law, Erna Leitner, New London and Luella Huebner, Berlin. Blanche is further survived by 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Leone Hamilton Boyce, brother Giles at infancy, sisters-in-law: Ina Huebner, Flora Huebner and Gladys Plumb, brothers-in-law: Sam Hamilton, Vic Boyce, Carlton Huebner, Art Huebner, and John Leitner and a son-in-law, Richard Drum. 

Funeral services for Blanche will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Sugar Bush with Rev. Preston Heuer officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 25, 2014, at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London from 4-7 p.m. and also at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
