Campaigns are way too long

Who’s had enough campaigning? Candidates should have one month to campaign and in that month lay out their plans on what they hope to do.

People want the facts, so lets do some facts. Let’s start with President Barack Obama, Senator Tammy Baldwin, and finish with the governor race.

Obama said he would keep the space program going. That was false. He told people they could keep their insurance plan under Obamacare. Again, that was false.

More facts; Baldwin wants homosexuals to be able to give blood to the blood bank. Not a smart move because over 80,000 deaths occur from hospital errors. She also wants gun control to be handed over to the UN, another bad move. Baldwin is up for re-election in 2019.

Now the governor’s race. In a letter to the editor, someone wrote we should go upward not just forward and I agree. I feel we are headed upward and forward. It’s just too bad Gov. Scott Walker didn’t have a full four-year term to get more done. Because of the wasted recall he had to deal with, he was therefore unable to get more accomplished.

As for Mary Burke, she says she will change things. More government control. How much government do you want in your life? How much more freebies do you want from the government? Fed government is broke. I hope you know it’s not free. Somebody will have to pay. Where is she going to get the money from? Maybe pull it out of her hat. Oh, she doesn’t wear a hat so where will she get it from? She will go back to the Doyle days and raise taxes or back to a deficit or both. Why isn’t she managing the Trek bike company? You have to wonder. We can vote Walker and go upward and forward or God help us, get Burke and go down and backward.

Before you vote in November, do your kids and grandkids a favor and see the movies Atlas Shrugged part II and III. The author is Ayn Rand. It’s where this country is headed and it’s not good.
