Campbell, Lois M.

Lois M. Campbell, age 92 of Waupaca, WI passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Crystal River Nursing Facility in Waupaca. 

She was born on February 28, 1922 in Zion, IL, the daughter of Newton and Harriet (Moss) Hoyt. She married Lyle J. Campbell on September 25, 1945 in Zion, IL. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2003. Lois is survived by her sons: Rev. Larry (Carolyn) Campbell of Spring Lake Park, MN; Rev. Lonnie (Pamela) Campbell of Roy, UT, Rev. Lee (Cara) Campbell of Huntingburg, IN and Lance (Laura) Campbell of Kenosha, WI; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Blouin of Stoughton, WI; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Vivian Hyllberg of Zion, IL; Margaret Ower of Sierra Madre, CA and many nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; a son, Loren; a daughter, Lila Moen; her parents and three siblings. 

Lois was a very active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Waupaca and had assisted in keeping Christian Education records for 50 years. She was a very active member of Gideon’s International Auxiliary. She loved playing the piano and had played at the Crystal River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Chapel services for 30 years, and at Park Vista in Waupaca for a few years. She had worked as a secretary in the Wisconsin/Northern Michigan Assembly of God District Office in Waupaca. Following her retirement she did volunteer work at the Waupaca Senior Nutrition Site for many years. 

A funeral service will be held at the First Assembly of God Church in Waupaca, WI on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Bohn officiating, assisted by Rev. Clifford Cameron. Interment will be in the Spencer Lake Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated in memory of Lois M. Campbell, and can be directed to Gideon’s International. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI assisted the family with arrangements.
