Levezow, Jean Ann (Baldwin)

Jean Ann (Baldwin) Levezow, age 83, of Manawa, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep, with her family at her side, on Friday, October 31, 2014. 

She was born on November 25, 1930 in Symco, daughter of the late Willard and Agnes (Paranto) Baldwin. Jean grew up on the family farm in Symco. She graduated from Little Wolf High School. She lived and worked in the Manawa area farming, bartending, then also as a Nurse’s Assistant at the Wisconsin Veteran’s Home in King until she retired. She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Levezow on April 18, 1986 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca. They spent many years together traveling all over. They enjoyed spending many winters together in Arizona, then spending time in Manawa enjoying family and friends. Some of her many hobbies included fishing, gardening, feeding the birds and squirrels, sewing, crocheting and reading. She especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa. She was a friend to many, mother of her 11 children, grandmother to 17 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband Bill Levezow; children: Pat Zellmer and friend Ray, Amherst Jct.; Dan Zellmer, Ephrata, WA; Tom Zellmer, St. Paul, MN; Theresa Zellmer and friend John, Jackson Hole, WY; Julie (Mike) Fortugno, Two Rivers; Mark Zellmer and special friend Bobbie Ann and Lexie, Manawa; Jim (Kirsten) Zellmer, De Pere; Robert (Becky) Zellmer, Hasting, MI; John Levezow, Bentonville, AR; grandchildren: Kathy, Bradley, Rob, Sarah, Rachel, Mathew, Jesse, Sarah, Tabitha, Becky, Nicole, Daniel, Anne, Braydon, Paige, Thea and Ava; great-grandchildren: Josh, Betsy, Lydia, Cassie, Logan, Avery, Orion, Madyson, Landon, Alexis, Peyton, Kieren, Evalyne. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Tom Zellmer, her sons, Tim Zellmer and Michael Zellmer, three brothers: Allen, Donald and Gerald; one sister, Bernice; and sister-in-law Ruth. 

The Memorial Mass for Jean will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa with Fr. Amalraj Roche officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to thank the Theda Care at Home Nurses and CNA’s, Dr. Phillips and Daisy Boehm, the staff at Sturm Memorial Library in Manawa and all those helping and giving support and comfort during this difficult time. Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home, Manawa is assisting the family with arrangements.
