Anne L. Myers, age 97, of Iola, died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Iola Living Assistance.
Anne was born in the town of Helvetia, Wisconsin on February 24, 1917, the daughter of the late Frank and Nora (Earll) Jones. She married Robert Andrew Myers on December 2, 1939 at the Methodist parsonage in Amherst. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1971. Anne graduated from Iola High School in 1935. She was a member of Iola United Methodist Church. Anne was a loving wife and mother who cared for her family and was always there when they needed her.
She is survived by: daughters, Gloria (Roger) Olson, Roberta Frankow, and Connie (Vern) Wendt; sons, Glenn (Linda) Myers and Herbert (Ronda) Myers; and two sisters, Mary Osborn and Norma Clark and a sister-in-law, May Jones. Anne is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Anne was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristine Shambeau; a son, Robert Alan Myers and a son-in-law, James Frankow.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Iola United Methodist Church with Reverend Dale Eggert officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, 4-7 p.m., at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola and again Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
