Mrs. Marjory Winnifred Jole LaDue, age 99, of Stevens Point, died Monday, November 24th, 2014 at Harmony Living Care Center in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Marjory was born in Scandinavia, Wisconsin on September 24, 1915, the daughter of the late Gustave and Winifred (Abrahamson) Jole. Marjory graduated from Central Wisconsin College in Scandinavia and attended Green Bay Business College. She was employed at Hardware Mutual Insurance Company (now Sentry Insurance) in Stevens Point from 1934 until her marriage to Robert LaDue of Green Bay on August 26, 1939 in Stevens Point. She was employed by St. Michael’s Hospital in the payroll department from 1960 until her retirement in 1980.
Marjory is survived by her children: Robert (Barbara) of Grandview, Missouri; Brian (Nancy) of Kokomo, Indiana; Michael (Pattie) of Phoenix, Arizona; and Jean (Betty) of Boulder, Colorado. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on September 30, 1983, and by her four sisters: Dorothy Hayes (Fond du Lac), Kathryn Wight (Milwaukee), Elma Jole (Madison), and Claudia Wipf (Iola), and a great-grandson, Austin LaDue of Kokomo, Indiana
A Visitation will be held at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola on Friday, November 28 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with a graveside service following at the Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Scandinavia, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. The family of Marjory would like to thank Harmony Living Care Center for the wonderful care given to our mother for the last years of her life, and the Ministry Hospice for their compassionate care for the past six weeks.
