Rena M. Heiman, 85 of rural Marshfield died peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at her home with her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Marshfield with Fr. Eric Berns officiating. Cindy Penker along with Mike Gonering will provide the music for the service. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville with her grandsons as pallbearers, Ryan, Josh, Kelvin Jr., Adam, Andrew, Trevor Heiman, Chris and Joe Binder. Visitations will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again on Tuesday at the church from 9 a.m. until service time. There will be a parish prayer service at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Rena was born on January 18, 1929 to Patrick and Madge (Sackett) Rohan in Bear Creek, WI. She was united in marriage to Arnold Heiman on December 27, 1951 while he was on leave in Anchorage, AK. She spent her years raising her family and making cheese alongside her husband. Rena loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. My mother had an address change, she’s no longer at the old, her new address is Heaven’s Gate where streets are made of gold. No more waiting for the mailman to bring mail up to her door. She has become a messenger to those who went before. My mother no longer feels the pain, no doctors now to see, for at her new address, her body is set free. Those shaking hands, those eyes so dim are things that now are past, for her new address, her health will always last. Her clothing there is different too, a robe so clean and white, and address with an open door, where no one fears the night. So even though she left us, should we be distress? She really didn’t die, you see, she simply changed her address.

Rena is survived by: her husband Arnold; children: Kenneth (Joellen) Heiman and their children, Michelle, Ryan (Amanda) and Josh (Heather Sternweis) Heiman; Kathleen (Mark) Binder and their children, Karen (Jeff) Perrine, Chris (Kathy) Binder, Jessica (Glen) Thomas, Bob (Laura) Binder, Joe (Jill) Binder, Becky (Steve) Bauer, Brenda (Kirk) Hansen, Bonnie (Josh) Sabo, Jenny (Larry) Throckmorton, and SPC Patrick Binder; Kelvin (Maryilyn) Heiman and their children, Makayla (Kyle) Kozik, Kelvin (Katie) Heiman, Jr., Adam (Ashley) Heiman and Andrew (fiancé Brittney Schaefer) Heiman; Kim (Cheryl) Heiman and their children, Mariah and Trevor; and 30 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by brother, Kenneth (Ruth) Rohan of New London; sisters-in-law, Jayne Rohan of New London, Pearl Heiman, Nelda Heiman and Hazel Stevenson all of Clintonville. She was preceded in death by five brothers: Orville in infancy, Merlyn (Minnie) Rohan, Norbert (Evelyn) Rohan, Pat (Genny) Rohan and Roger Rohan; two sisters, Evelyn (Mark) Lowney and Jean (Harold) Dieck. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Children’s Miracle Network. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
