Truckers looking to grow this season

A young Trucker varsity wrestling team will look to grow and improve throughout the season as they compete in the Eastern Valley Conference.

The Truckers were 1-6 in the conference last year and posted a 2-12 overall record. Head Coach Justin Mc Auly is in his fifth year coaching and has a career record of 14-45.

Cole Cotherman, a senior, is the lone returning letter winner from last year’s team. Last year, he compiled a 23-19 record while wrestling at 120 pounds.

Cotherman is joined by fellow seniors Tim Jerabek and Shayne Collar. Juniors Jordan Streicher and Chase Jung will compete for varsity spots, while a large group of freshmen are looking to gain some experience this year. Freshmen who have joined the team this year include Ben Cotherman, Zach Shaw, Rylan Prickette, Bridget Streicher, Wheeler Teske, Lacey Jung, Bailey Fields, and Jason Bilek.
