For the past decade, Hansen’s Furniture Store in Waupaca has celebrated Christmas with an open house, a cheesecake contest and a Festival of Trees.

This year’s open house, held Nov. 21-23, had the theme, “Hansen’s Pay it Forward Christmas.” For every purchase made over the weekend, Hansen’s donated to the Waupaca Area Food Pantry.

Hansen’s Festival of Trees offered local nonprofit groups the opportunity to decorate Christmas trees. People may vote for their favorites through Christmas Eve.

Hansen’s 10th annual cheesecake contest was held Sunday, Nov. 23. First-place winners received $100 Hansen’s gift cards and second-place winners received $20 Hansen’s gift cards. There were also drawings for two $20 gift certificates to Mama Z’s Bakery & Java Hut, and for a range with convection oven donated by GE.
