The Clintonville Area Foundation (CAF) has announced the appointment of Linda Gehrke to its advisory board.
Gehrke was chosen to fill a seat on the board that was recently vacated with the departure of previous board member, Jenny Goldschmidt. Goldschmidt had retired this past year from her job with the Clintonville School District and she and her husband recently sold their home and have moved from the area.
Gehrke promises to bring her strengths and commitment to serving the community of Clintonville.
“The main strength that I could bring to CAF is my passion for making a difference and giving back to my community any way I can,” Gehrke said. “I have seen firsthand the positive impact the community foundation has on community programs, both professionally and personally.”
She added, “It would be an honor for me to be part of an organization that not only supports my hometown of Clintonville, but also supports my life’s work of making the world a better place.”
Gehrke will fulfill the term for this seat which will expire June 30, 2016. She will attend her first board meeting when the group meets again in January.
