King to be queen of Manawa rodeo

Lexus King and Kaylee Viney were recently chosen as queen and princess of the Manawa Lions 57th annual Mid-Western Rodeo to be held July 2-4, 2015.

King, 17, is a Seymour High School senior from Oneida. She grew up around horses and hopes her love of the animal will grow into a future career.

Upon completion of King’s reign as rodeo queen, she will attend the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, majoring in animal science. She also hopes to barrel race on the UWRF college rodeo team.

Viney, 19, from Appleton, currently attends Fox Valley Technical College in the Agribusiness/Science Technology program. She hopes to become a dairy farm manager or a dairy reproduction specialist.

Horses became a part of Viney’s life when she received her first horse, Austin, as a gift on her eighth birthday.

Queen Lexus and Princess Kaylee are promoting the 2015 Manawa Lion’s sponsored PRCA rodeo at rodeos, community events, trade shows, parades, fun shows and trail rides throughout Wisconsin.
