W-F students hold food drives

Students at Fremont and Weyauwega elementary schools supported November’s character trait of thankfulness by holding food drives.

The student councils at both elementary schools organized their food drives.

Each day, student council members visited the classrooms to collect and count the donated food items.

The student council at Fremont Elementary offered a friendly competition to see which class could bring in the most items.

The class which did so will decorate cookies and have hot chocolate.

Fremont Elementary collected a total of 617 non-perishable food items, and Weyauwega Elementary collected a total of 951 food items.

They donated the food items to the Weymont Food Pantry.
