Trucker grapplers lose to Tigers

The Ripon Tigers handed the Trucker varsity wrestling team a 54-16 loss on Friday, Dec. 5.

The lone bright spots for Clintonville were provided by Bridget Streicher (132 pounds) and Lacey Jung (145 pounds), as both girls pinned their opponents. Streicher pinned Ripon’s Aubrey Schoff in 27 seconds, while Lacey Jung pinned Wilson Agamaite in 2:57.

Cole Cotherman also earned a win for Clintonville, earning a major decision victory over Ripon’s Ryan Cody, 13-2.

Clintonville’s Ben Cotherman (106 pounds) lost by pin in 2:00, while Tim Jerabek (138 pounds) lost an 8-2 decision. Chase Jung (195 pounds) lost a 6-3 decision.

Ripon won by forfeit at 113 pounds, 152 pounds, 160 pounds, 170 pounds, 182 pounds, 220 pounds, and 285 pounds. There was a double forfeit at 126 pounds.

The Truckers participated in the Campbellsport Invite on Saturday, Dec. 6, taking seventh place out of nine teams.

Chase Jung (195 pounds) took second place, while Tim Jerabek (138 pounds) took third. Shayne Collar (160 pounds) and Cole Cotherman (120 pounds) both took fourth place, while Ben Cotherman (106 pounds) took fifth place. Lacey Jung (145 pounds) took sixth place.
