Colson, Scott L.

Scott L. Colson 47 of Marinette passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014, at home from a heart attack. 

He was born on February 2, 1967, to Kenneth and Joyce (Heinzelmann) Colson in Milwaukee. He graduated from Lomira High School, class of 1985. He was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard, Twin City Baptist Church, and drove truck most of life. On April 1, 2008, Scott married Joyce Winter in Waupaca. He enjoyed playing tackle football on the weekends with his buddies and was a proud member of the Raider Nation. He also enjoyed entertaining friends, being a jokester, eating chicken wings, Elvis music, and the times when his uncle Bruce played Wipeout on the drums. He loved to spend time with his children. 

Scott is survived by his wife, Joyce; son, Scott Kenneth Earl Colson; two daughters, Lisa Marie Rose Colson and Lillianna Grace Colson; step son, Anthony Winter; mother, Joyce Galbreath; two brothers, Todd Pittman and Tre Pittman; two sisters, Terri (David) Lauer and Valerie Colson; Mother and Father in law Sandra and Allan Diercks; best friends, Kevin and Lisa Held; many nieces and nephews; two great nephews, and special goddaughter, Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth and niece, Brianna Klettke. 

Visitation was held at Twin City Baptist Church on Saturday, December 13th from 10am until time of service. Funeral Services was held at 12 noon with Pastor Matt DeCleene officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Oconto. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
