Hackbarth, Travis Lee

Travis L. Hackbarth, 30, of Appleton passed away on Friday January 2nd, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, with his family by his side. 

Travis was born on November 2nd, 1984, son of Daniel P. Hackbarth and Penny A. (Heimbruch) Hackbarth. Travis was a graduate of New London High School in 2003. He was currently employed at the Melting Pot in Appleton. Travis enjoyed fishing with his brother Tyler and his nephew Landon. He loved spending time with any of his family and friends. Travis met his girlfriend Shauni Fischer in 2011 and his life and heart were given new meaning when his son Weston T. Hackbarth was born on April 20th, 2012. He enjoyed attending the Appleton farmers market on Saturday’s with his father Dan, brother Troy, and son Weston. Travis loved watching the Green Bay Packers, and did so at his mother’s house with his family and friends as often as possible. He was a lover of Music and enjoyed going to concerts and festivals with his friends. Travis loved helping his family and friends in any way he could, and enjoyed nothing more than making them laugh or putting a smile on their face. He always seen the good in people and never the bad, and always had positive words for everyone around him. Travis loved and cherished the time he’d spend with his son Weston, nephew Landon, and niece Audrina. He was the most amazing father, uncle, son, brother, friend and person that anyone could have ever asked for. 

Travis is survived by: his son Weston T. Hackbarth; his mother Penny A (Heimbruch) Hackbarth and fiance Larry L. Kriesel of New London; father Daniel P. Hackbarth of Appleton; brother Troy P. Hackbarth of Appleton; brother Tyler J. Hackbarth and his wife Ellen A. Hackbarth of Weyauwega; and girlfriend, Shauni R. Fischer and her daughter, Kaylyn J. Fischer of Appleton. He is also survived by his nephew, Landon T. Hackbarth; neice, Audrina L. Hackbarth; uncles: Neal (Teresa) Heimbruch, Lenny (Kris) Heimbruch, Rick Heimbruch, Steve (Lori) Hackbarth; aunts: Debbie (Ron) Garrelts, Cindy Casey, Jolene (Jerrod) Werth; grandmother, Anita Heimbruch; grandfather, Everette Heimbruch, and thirteen cousins. Travis is preceded in death by his grandfather, Edgar Hackbarth of Menasha and his grandmother, Helen J Hackbarth of Appleton. 

A memorial service for Travis will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at First English Lutheran Church (326 E. North St.) in Appleton. A gathering of family and friends will take place directly at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established for his son Weston T. Hackbarth. Travis’ family extends a special thank you to the St. Elizabeth Hospital’s ICU staff especially immediate care nurses, Brenda Martin, Cassandra, Kelsey, Jenny and Mike.
