Neuman, Eleanor

Eleanor Neuman, age 94, of Waupaca was born into eternal life on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. 

Eleanor was born in the Town of Lind, on November 30, 1920, the daughter of the late Walter and Elsie (Ziemke) Turner. She grew up there and attended local schools graduating from Weyauwega High School in 1938. She married Lewis Kuehl in 1941. This marriage ended in a divorce. She then married Alvin Neuman in 1964. Eleanor was a kind hearted, hard working mother all her life. She enjoyed needlework of all kinds, and playing cards with her friends and family. She is a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca. 

Eleanor is survived by her son, James (Daryl) Kuehl, Stevens Point; her son-in-law, Jim Rice, Waupaca; her step-son, John Neuman, Wisconsin Rapids; her sisters, Luella Kirk and Ethelyn Scheider; sisters-in-law, Elda Turner, Alice Turner and Eileen Haese; her five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Neuman; her daughter, Candice Rice; her two brothers, Marion and Gordon Turner; her sister, Mavis Jones and a brother-in-law, William Haese.

The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, January 3 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waupaca with Reverend Paul Bowe officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Park, Waupaca. Visitation will be on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Immanuel Lutheran Church. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Bethany Home for the loving care given to Eleanor over the past eleven years. Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
