Manawa suffers loss at home

The Manawa Wolves girl’s basketball team suffered a loss to the Shiocton Chiefs in a Central Wisconsin 8 Conference match-up at home on January 16th.
 
The Chief’s had a 20-10 lead at the half, with Samantha Schmidt with 6 points.
 
Carlee Zander scored 6 point for Manawa in the second half of the game, sinking a pair of 3 pointers. Haley Reierson added another 5, but it was not enough for the Wolves.
 
Shiocton took the win 45-28.
 
Schmidt led the scoring for Shiocton with 12 points, followed by Hannah Guyette and Athena Ubl with 8 each.
 
Zander was the top scorer for Manawa with 9, followed by Haley Reierson and Alexis Wepner with 5 a piece.
 
The Wolves drop to 3-11 overall, while the Chiefs improve to 7-5.
