The Iola-Scandinavia T-Birds boys basketball team chalked up another win by beating the Manawa Wolves in a Central Wisconsin-8 conference match-up at home on Friday, February 13.
The T-Birds out-scored the Wolves 20-12 in the first quarter of play led by Alec Lund with 6 points.
I-S was able to maintain their lead during second quarter, with the T-Birds up by 10 points, sending them to the locker room with a score of 34-24.
Luke Wilz scored 7 of his 11 points for the Manawa Wolves in the 3rd quarter, narrowing the gap, but with the T-Birds still on top at 49-36.
With the scoring even in the 4th quarter, the game ended with a 64-51 T-Bird victory.
Welch led in the scoring for the T-Bird with 14 points, followed by Kenny Holz and Alec Lund with 12 a piece.
Brandon Radloff scored 12 points for the Wolves, followed by Wilz and Shane Manthey with 11 each.
Iola-Scandinavia with host Edgar on February 16 and Manawa will host Westfield on February 17 in non-conference match-ups.
