Dake, David R.

David R. Dake, 93, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at a local nursing home on March 30, 2015. 

He was born in Oshkosh on March 30, 1922 to the late Edgar and Emma (Schumacher) Dake. David attended Oshkosh High School. He served five years in the U.S. Army during WWII and was honorably discharged. David lived in Wisconsin throughout his life. He was employed as a draftsman at Rockwell International in Oshkosh. David enjoyed golf, ice skating and photography. He had a great love for animals and nature. 

Survivors include his sons, John (Cheryl) Dake, Jesse (Jan) Dake, all of Florida; daughters, Donna Myers, Georgia; Dawn (Greg) Austin and Debra (David) Stauffacher, all of Green Bay; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Narleta (Herald) Ward, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christian; sisters, Geneva (Wallace) Holdren; Etta (Milton) Tucker; Bernice (Robert) Seefelt; brothers, Edgar (Sue) Dake; Glen (Mary) Dake; grandparents; aunts; uncles; nephews and friends. 

Family and friends may call at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay, on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Funeral Service to follow with Military Honors at the funeral home.
