Manawa, W-F track teams compete in Wild Rose

Manawa and Weyauwega-Fremont’s track teams competed in a six-team meet April 7 in Wild Rose.

The Wild Rose boys’ and girls’ teams placed first. The W-F boys and girls placed second and third, respectively, while the Manawa boys took third and the girls finished fourth.

Firsts for Manawa went to Austin Wagner in the boys’ 110-meter high hurdles (17.91); and Jody Wentworth in the girls’ 300-meter hurdles (55.24).

Seconds went to Garrett Bristol in the boys’ 110 high hurdles; and the boys’ and girls’ 1,600-meter relay teams.

Thirds went to the boys’ 3,200-meter relay team; Andrew Scheller in the boys’ 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs; Daniel Teuscher in the boys’ long and triple jumps; Wagner in the boys’ 300 hurdles; and Lexi Smiles in the girls’ 200- and 400-meter dashes.

Fourths went to Tanner Meyer in the boys’ 100-meter dash; the boys’ 800-meter relay team; Ethan Hass in the boys’ 400; Jared Zielke in the boys’ 800-meter run; the girls’ 800 relay team; and Ashlee Strebe in the girls’ triple jump.

Fifths went to Sam Welch in the boys’ 400 dash; Zielke in the boys’ 300 hurdles; Teuscher in the boys’ 200 dash; Bristol in the boys’ high jump; Carlee Zander in the girls’ triple jump; and Strebe in the girls’ long jump.

Sixths went to Hass in the boys’ long jump (tie); and Zach Teuscher in the boys’ high jump.

Firsts for Weyauwega-Fremont went to the boys’ 800 relay team (1:39.62); Dylan Pankow in the boys’ triple jump (40 feet, 10 inches); Andy Bork in the boys’ discus (106 feet, 11 inches); the girls’ 3,200 relay team (13:21.81); Caragan Volz in the girls’ 100-meter hurdles (16.91); and Jenna Mathwig in the girls’ 3,200 (15:44.58).

Seconds went to the boys’ 3,200 relay team; Chris Young in the boys’ 1,600 and 3,200 runs; Sarah Fields in the girls’ 1,600 run; and Volz in the 200 dash.

Thirds went to Bork in the boys’ shot put; the boys’ 400 and 1,600 relay teams; Miranda Arndt in the girls’ 100 hurdles; Becky Schroeder in the girls’ high jump and 300 hurdles; the girls’ 800 relay team; and Mikaela Hintz in the girls’ 800 run.

Fourths went to Logan Wohlt in the boys’ 110 high hurdles; Pankow in the boys’ high jump; Hintz in the girls’ discus; and the girls’ 1,600 relay team.

Fifths went to Corey Schmidt in the boys’ 100 dash; Andy Schroeder in the boys’ 1,600 run; Kyle Loehrke in the boys’ discus; Rabecka Danke in the girls’ 100 hurdles; Alyssa Goode in the girls’ high jump; and Gwynette Koch in the girls’ shot put.

Sixths went to Carl Koch in the boys’ 100 dash; Alex Bartel in the boys’ triple jump; Hunter McClone in the boys’ 200 dash; Brandon Hanes in the boys’ discus; Paige Kempf in the girls’ triple jump and 300 hurdles; and Hannah Sroka in the girls’ long jump.
