Friends and families of Weyauwega Elementary School showed their support for the Jump Rope For Heart event.
The school community raised $4,122 for the American Heart Association, surpassing its orignial $1,000 goal.
During an April 1 incentive assembly, classroom teachers and Principal Douglas Nowak followed through on the promises they made, including kissing a calf, having pies thrown in their faces and being mummy wrapped in toilet paper.
Dorinda Akey’s fifth-graders were the top fundraisers.
In addition, students received their thank you prizes on the day of the assembly.
