The Oz land is a beautiful area in Waupaca, which is hidden by the foundry and other buildings.
Its unique location makes it a secluded treasure to many citizens of Waupaca and surrounding communities.
The Green Team of Waupaca High School believes that the Oz area should be left alone for the following reasons.
First off, Oz land is unique with its diversity.
When you pull into the gravel parking lot, you can see a swamp, a giant hill and a prairie.
If a building was there, it would take away of the breathtaking view you get when you first drive in.
That view is unbeliievably rare and it would be a shame to see a building block it.
Secondly, the Oz land should not be touched because it would disrupt the species living in that habitat.
The Oz area holds many different species, including plants and animals, and a building would disrupt the natural order of the organisms living there.
It would be harmful to the environment if another building was constructed.
Lastly, many people don’t go to the Oz natural area because it is so hidden.
We talked to some students and many don’t even kow the location of the Oz land.
We believe that constructing a building would be unbeneficial to the area because it doesn’t have enough visitors.
