Truckers no-hit by Freedom

The Clintonville High School softball team didn’t have one of its better weeks, as the team lost three games, including being no-hit by Freedom.

The Truckers were good hosts to Freedom Thursday, April 30. Freedom scored 18 runs on 20 hits. Clintonville was shutout, unable to muster a hit. The team also had eight errors.

Megan Wittman took the loss for the Lady Truckers.

Two days early Tuesday, April 28, Clintonville hosted a doubleheader against Winneconne.

Winneconne got on the scoreboard in the first inning, scoring a run. They added two more runs in the fifth inning. In the top of the seventh inning Winneconne added six insurance runs.

The Truckers finally got on the scoreboard in the final inning, but it was too little, too late.

Dey led Clintonville with two hits.

Wittman took the loss.

Winneconne jumped out to a quick lead in the second game, scoring five runs in the first inning. They scored 10 more runs in the game, taking the win by a score of 15-2.

Harbath and Huggins each had hits for Clintonville.

Lukoski took the lost for Clintonville.
