Niemuth, Lucinda

Lucinda D. Niemuth, age 90, formerly of Poy Sippi, passed away on May 10, 2015.

She was born on April 29, 1925 in the Town of Poy Sippi, the daughter of Elsie and Bill Oehlke. She was baptized into the Body of Jesus at Christ Lutheran Church, West Bloomfield, May 24, 1925. She married Allen Niemuth on February 25, 1943 at Christ Lutheran Church in West Bloomfield. He passed away on December 5, 1999. Lucinda enjoyed working in her flower garden and raspberry patch. She also loved to knit and sew. She will always be remembered for her kindness and compassion she displayed to others. She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi.

She is survived by four sons: Ron (Gayla) Niemuth, Pine River; Leroy (Barbara) Niemuth, Waupaca; Myron Niemuth, California; and Mark (Karen) Niemuth, Pine River; one brother, Vern (Jean) Oehlke, Fremont; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Dan (Linda) Niemuth, Whitewater and Charles (Charlene) Niemuth, Waupaca; four sisters-in-law: Eileen Hoehne, Lena; Annette (Jim) Saxon, New Berlin; Leila (Larry) Buttke, Cadott; and Carla (David) Kuehni, Luck. Lucinda is further survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie and Bill Oehlke and one brother, Velder Oehlke.

Funeral services will be held at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, May 14, 2015, with Rev. Mark R. Meier Sr. officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Poy Sippi Cemetery. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.

Our family would also like to thank Pastor Meier for all his visits and spiritual guidance for mom’s journey from this world to our Father’s home.
