New London police are looking for a suspect involved in an armed robbery shortly before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Jernegan’s Health Mart Pharmacy located at 1301 S. Mill St.
Witnesses say the suspect entered the store, pointed a gun at employees and demanded prescription pills and money. He took a small amount of prescription drugs but did not get any money.
The suspect is described as a white male, 40 to 50 years old, between 6-foot and 6-foot 2-inches tall, weighing 190 to 200 pounds with a big nose. He may have grey/black facial hair. He was wearing a black jacket with a hood.
The suspect drove away in what was described as a 1995-2000 black Dodge Truck with a short box without a cap. He was last seen driving south on Division Street from Douglas Street in New London.
