The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office released the names of the two people killed in a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 45 and Lakeshore Road near Clintonville at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 14.
William and Rose Allen, both 87 and from Marion, were the victims.
William Allen was driving eastbound and attempting to cross U.S. 45 to Lakeshore Road when his vehicle was struck by a northbound vehicle on U.S. 45.
His passenger, Rose Allen, was pronounced dead at the scene. William Allen was flown by helicopter to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver and passenger of the northbound vehicle were not injured.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol are still investigating the crash.
