Three wins, one loss for Bulldogs

A trio of wins and a loss last week put the New London varsity softball team at a 21-5 season record as they prepared for this week’s regional playoffs.

The Bulldogs defeated Seymour, Shawano and SPASH while facing a loss against Denmark.

The girls were in second place in the Bay Conference (12-4) after Luxembourg-Casco (15-1). The WFSCA/WisSports.net Coaches Poll ranked New London seventh in Division 2 softball as of Tuesday, May 19.

The Bulldogs earned the No. 1 seed in the region and therefore a bye for Tuesday’s start of Division 2 regional softball. They were scheduled Wednesday to play the winner of Tuesday’s regional game between Fox Valley Lutheran and Xavier. Tuesday’s game had not yet taken place as of this newspaper’s publication.
