Ihla Alvina Sorenson, age 98, of Iola, WI died Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Iola Living Assistance.
Ihla was born at home, in Northland, Town of Harrison, WI on March 18, 1917, the daughter of Oscar and Anlaug (Dahlen) Wogsland. She married Norman O. Sorenson on November 30, 1940 at Northland Lutheran Church. She worked for several businesses in Iola. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Iola, WI.
She is survived by daughters, Ann (Sorenson) Hoyord, (Tom), and Marie (Sorenson) Hein; 16 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and two great – great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; her parents, Oscar and Anlaug Wogsland, and brothers, Irving Wogsland and Leonard Wogsland.
Funeral services were held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Iola, WI with Reverend Dennis Olson officiating. Burial was held in the Our Savior’s Lutheran church Cemetery, Iola. The Voie Funeral Home assisted the family in arrangements.
