Carla Jean (Peterson) Stewart, age 41, of Waupaca, WI passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center.
She fought cancer courageously for 12 years.
Carla was born August 17, 1973 in Waupaca, daughter of Irving G. and Linda (Peterson) Peterson. On July 23, 1994, she married Scott Stewart in Waupaca. Carla will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and many friends.
Carla is survived by her husband, Scott, and their three children, Zach, Sophie, and Tyler, all of Waupaca; her mother, Linda Peterson of Waupaca; a brother, Paul (Chasity) Peterson of Waupaca; a sister, Laura (Dave) Hunt of Ripon; nieces and nephews, Garett, Alivia, Adam (Miranda), Jake, Joe, Madisen and Mia; mother-in-law, Faye (Dennis) Urban, and their children, Ross and Jenna; and step-mother-in-law, Terri Stewart. Carla also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Irving Peterson, and her father-in-law, Ken “Skooby” Stewart.
A Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Holly Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Carla’s name. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
