Florence G. Lichtenwald of Park Vista in Waupaca, age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Riverside Medical Center of Waupaca.
She was born in Fond du Lac on June 16, 1932 to the late Ernest and Florence (Kunick) Fogle. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Lichtenwald on November 25, 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1980. She married Hugh Merk in 1987 and he preceded her death in 1998.
Florence will be dearly missed by her four sons: Eric (Colleen) of Altoona, WI; Terry (Chris) of Loves Park, IL; Tim (Marcia) of Marshfield; and Kurt (Connie) of New Holstein; grandchildren: Bret (Stephanie), Ryan (special friend, Allie), Samantha, Cara (Danny) Skarsten, and Mitchell; great-grandchildren: Levi, Trey, Sophia and Jubilee. She is further survived by a sister, Dorothy Anderson of Fond du Lac and two brothers, Alan (Barb) Fogle of Centerville, IA and Ernie Fogle of South St. Paul, MN.
The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Rienzi Cemetery, N6101 Hwy K, Fond du Lac, WI. Private burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
