Traffic
• Aug. 15 – One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 10:30 p.m. in the town of Dayton.

Jerome Ashley, 55, of Waupaca, was driving eastbound on Pine Lane when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway.

His vehicle traveled east into the north yard of a residence in the E1500 block of Pine Lane where it struck some trees and knocked down one tree.

The vehicle rolled onto its side and came to rest on its left side facing southeast.

The operator was partially ejected and was trapped by the vehicle, requiring extrication.

According to the police report, the driver’s ability was listed as impaired and alcohol was present at the scene.
